911±¬ÁÏÍø

We are seeking 911±¬ÁÏÍø members to join a steering group to oversee the next stage of 911±¬ÁÏÍø’s planned Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) work. You do not need to be an expert in this field, but someone who is interested in ensuring that 911±¬ÁÏÍø is a safe, welcoming and inclusive organisation.

The remit of the group will include:

• To advise 911±¬ÁÏÍø Executive Committee on EDI related projects within 911±¬ÁÏÍø’s work programme.
• Advocacy and allyship for minoritised voices within the 911±¬ÁÏÍø membership.
• Development and support of implementing internal guidance to ensure that 911±¬ÁÏÍø’s work is inclusive.
• Support 911±¬ÁÏÍø EC with review of frameworks and resources produced by 911±¬ÁÏÍø.
• Support 911±¬ÁÏÍø with formulating formal responses to external documentation where relevant.

If you would like to apply but do not fit any of the roles with current vacancies then you can apply under the ‘other’ category. No previous experience of 911±¬ÁÏÍø working groups is required and applications must be from 911±¬ÁÏÍø members.

Members will serve a three-year term from May 2024. It is envisaged that the full group will meet virtually three times per year, however, there may be additional meetings for any sub-groups working on specific projects. Meetings will primarily take place on-line. If a face-to-face meeting is deemed essential then 911±¬ÁÏÍø will reimburse reasonable expenses as per 911±¬ÁÏÍø expenses policy.
